Abe Jackson is a visual artist from Omaha, Nebraska who also works as a database analyst for major youth care organizations. He studied art at Southern University in his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana under Roscoe Reddix, Rodney Ferguson and Jack Jordan. After moving to Omaha, he continued his art studies at the Metropolitan Community college and earned a degree in Visual Arts.
His work in the art field started as a display manager for commercial department stores and a sign painter for smaller independent businesses. Eventually he took a position as a woodwork instructor for a private school and became involved in social work.
Today, Jackson’s art is constructed with a lot of digital technology blended with standard traditional drawing and painting. He uses photography and computers to manage all the mediums to create his images.
